Welcome to Agape

Here at Agape, we want to be an outpost of God’s love on your journey.  Agape is a faith family made up of people from all walks of life.  We have skiers and snowboarders, retail sales people, business owners, singles, families, retirees and everything in between. We’re a group of flawed individuals who must rely on God’s incredible grace each day of our lives.  Our prayer is that each day we look more and more like Jesus as we allow him to conform us into his image.

Here at Agape, we have lots of resources to help you on your Journey.  So whether you’re here with us for one Sunday, a month of Sundays or long term, we hope this “outpost” is a place where you’ll find rest, refreshment, growth and family.  Check out the links below to help you get started on your journey with us here at Agape.

Blessings,

Mike, Jeremy and Kevin

What to Expect:

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Will I find a seat? Where do I take my kids?

We know people have lots of questions when visiting a new church.  Here at Agape we want you to be comfortable when you visit.  Below are some frequently asked questions.  If you have more questions, feel free to contact us or find one of the members of the welcome team on Sunday morning (they’ll be wearing name tags) and we will be happy to help!

When are services?

Service times are at 8:30 and 10:00 on Sunday morning.  The 8:30 service is about 1 hour long and the 10:00 runs about 90 minutes. Each Sunday in both services you will experience worship through music including Psalms, Hymns of the faith and modern worship songs.  Music is led by our worship team and may include a full band or just a worship leader and his guitar.  You will also hear from one of the teaching staff as well has have the opportunity to take part in a time of ministry and communion.  You might even hear a testimony from one of the members of our faith family!

During the 10:00 service, Kid’s Church is available from infants through 6th grade to provide relevant worship opportunities for the whole family from infants to adults.

What should I wear?

At Agape, we want you to be comfortable.  If that means jeans and a t-shirt, a suit and tie or your ski clothes, we are thrilled that you’ve decided to join us and we want you to be more focused on the worship service than what you’re wearing.  During our summer outdoor services it isn’t uncommon to see people in shorts a t-shirt and sandals.  Whatever you choose to wear, we think you’ll fit right in here at Agape!

Where do my kids go?

AgapeKids is the perfect place for your infants through 5th graders to go while you attend service.  It’s located downstairs right next to the worship center stairs. There, your kids will be checked in and you’ll receive a security sticker which you will need to pick up your child.  If you have little ones, you will receive a pager with a unique number so that you can be notified discreetly if help is needed with your child.

Your children will learn important truths about their identity in Christ through worship, storytelling, small group activities and crafts. They will also come home with a “Parent Que” so you can talk with your kid’s about what they learned and follow up with them through out the week.

Am I expected to put money in the offering basket?

If you are visiting with us at Agape, we do not expect you to give during the offering time, you are free to give as the Spirit leads. We would love for you to fill out a connection card a place it in the basket during the offering time.  If you are visiting with us for the first time you can take your connection card to the welcome center in the foyer and exchange it for a free gift.  If you consider Agape your church home, we encourage you to prayerfully consider giving to support the ministry at Agape. You can give by cash or check during the service or go to the giving page to get information on other ways to give.

Get Involved:

At Agape, there are lots of ways to get connected.  Our prayer is that you would find a place to belong here at Agape.  Through service opportunities and Missional Communities you can find significant ministry and authentic community.
