An intern is a highly motivated pre-professional that is eager to learn and eager to act. Interns provide new perspectives to old problems. An intern focuses on the educational benefit of the job they are performing rather than merely employment. Interns are willing and ready to serve.
What is an internship?
An internship is any carefully monitored work or service experience in which a student has intentional learning goals and reflects on what he or she is learning throughout the experience. An internship differs from a short-term job or volunteer work in that an intentional “learning agenda” is the basis of the experience. An internship is meant to provide a meaningful and developmental experience while preparing the intern for a future career.*
At Agape Outpost Chapel, our internship seeks to not only provide the intern with a learning experience, but also facilitate spiritual growth and development that will aid the intern in future ministry opportunities. Our desire is for the intern to gain knowledge that will grow their personal walk with Christ and enable them to more effectively share Christ with those around them in ministry settings and in normal work environments. We want to create young Christian leaders that can effectively lead and minister to the Body of Christ and reach out to the lost souls they will encounter.
