When are worship gatherings?
We gather for worship at 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. Each Sunday you will experience worship through music, including Hymns of the faith and modern worship songs. Music is led by our worship team and may include a full band or just a worship leader and a guitar. You will hear from one of our teaching staff and have the opportunity to take part in a time of ministry and communion. You might even hear a testimony from one of the members of our faith family! Not able to attend in person?
Our childrens service is at the 10 a.m. service.

What do we believe?
God – We believe in one God who is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and exists eternally in three distinct persons: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). The three persons of the Trinity are co-equal, have
existed in harmony for eternity, and represent the fullness of the God of the Bible. (Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2;
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)
Jesus Christ – We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Born of a virgin,
without any subtraction of His deity, Jesus took on sinless humanity and lived a sinless human life. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days, demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return again one day to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22, 23; John 1:1-5;14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3, 4; 6:6; 7:4-6; 8:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 4:14, 15)
The Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He operates in the redemptive mission of God as the initiator and catalyst for spiritual illumination and regeneration in the life of a believer and abides in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Spirit provides the Christian with power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts as he sees fit. Christians are to yield to and trust the Holy Spirit to enable them to live holy, loving, and productive lives that bear much fruit and glorify God. (John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18)
The Bible – We believe that the Bible is God's written word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the primary source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is true and trustworthy in every way. (Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1:13; 2 Peter 1:20, 21)
Humanity – We believe that humans are created in the image of God, male and female, and as the pinnacle of God's
creation, we have intrinsic value and dignity. However, because of the fall, people are flawed image bearers and sinners by nature and by choice, in desperate need of the salvation found in Jesus Christ alone. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 3; Psalm 8:3-
6; Isaiah 53:6a; 59:1,2; Romans 3:23; Acts 4:12)
Salvation – We believe that salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it by faith. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins when we trust Christ as Lord and Savior. We are saved from eternal judgment to be with Jesus forever. Salvation is sustained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the
grace and power of God that gives us this security. (John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5
John 14:6, 1:12; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5)
Eternity – We believe that humanity was created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin,
or we will exist eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. (Matthew 25:31-46; John 3:16; 14:17; Romans 6:23; 8:17-18; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9; Revelation 20:15)
Pursuit of Holiness – We believe that we are to pursue holiness by the Spirit and to flee from sin. We do so in order to reflect God's character, to become prepared for eternity, to experience joy and peace, to serve as effective witnesses, and to demonstrate our gratitude for salvation. (Leviticus 19:2, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Hebrews 12:14, Psalm 16:11, Philippians 4:7, Matthew 5:16, (Romans 12:1-2)

What is the Agape Culture?
Every church has a unique personality—its culture—shaped by members, leaders, history, and the Holy Spirit. Like people, no two churches are the same; this is part of God’s artistry.
Agape Love
Agape is Christ’s unconditional, self-sacrificing love. It is the heartbeat of our culture. Without love, all gifts and actions are empty (1 Corinthians 13). We strive to make Agape love our defining trait.
Resolute Yet Gentle
Where Scripture is absolute, we stand firm. Where the gospel calls for surrender, we yield fully. On non-essentials, we remain humble and open, never allowing them to divide fellowship.
Come and Go
We welcome both long-term members and those passing through. Whether you visit once or stay for decades, come as often as you can—for God’s glory and the encouragement of His people.
Worship
Our music blends contemporary and traditional styles with discernment, relevance, and excellence.
Preaching
We teach Scripture expositionally through a rotating team of shepherds, occasionally pausing for special topical series.
Community
Agape Outpost encourages serving beyond our walls—through local ministries, schools,
nonprofits, and more—living as light in the world.
Authenticity
We refuse to “play church.” Life in Christ can be messy, and the gospel is for the broken. We welcome the lost, hurting, and searching, because we all were once lost. Here, you can be real and find freedom in Jesus.

How can I get involved and connected?
At Agape, there are lots of ways to get connected. Our prayer is that you would find a place to belong here at Agape.

Want to know more about membership?
Why Membership?
Because We Belong to Christ
Membership matters because we are united with Christ—sharing in His death, resurrection, and we are members of His body (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Romans 4:5). We belong to God, having been bought with a
price (1 Corinthians 6:20). Our gospel mission is fulfilled through togetherness, mutual support, and edification (Acts 2:44).
While Scripture does not prescribe one exact method for organizing our membership to Christ and one another, the principle is clear: we belong to God. From the birth of the church, organization, leadership, roles, spiritual gifts, and communal commitment to God’s mission became essential. Baptism itself is a public declaration: “I am in. I am reborn. I belong to God.” If we are in Christ, our passion should be to fully engage with both Christ and His body—not to remain on the sidelines.
Why Organization Matters
Imagine any vital mission involving many people—without a welcome packet, vision statement, roles, or expectations. That would be chaos. Membership is not about unnecessary bureaucracy; it’s about alignment, intentionality, and stewardship of the values, gifts, and resources God has entrusted to His church. The goal is excellence for the glory of Christ and the preciousness of His bride.
The High Calling of the Church
Religion is everywhere, and places of worship are common. But the gospel of Jesus Christ and the ministry of His church are not mere religion. Church attendance alone does not fulfill God’s calling on our lives. The church—God’s people, not just local organizations—represents the most vital mission on earth. Who we are, what we believe, and how we live must be communicated with bold clarity, not vagueness.
Consider this: A military commander runs into your barracks and says, “Soldier, we need you for something important!”You ask, “What’s the mission? What’s my role?” If the commander replies, “We don’t really know,
but come anyway,”your passion will be low. But if he says, “You are needed because you bring something no one else has. Come with me, and I’ll explain,” suddenly there is excitement and purpose.
The Church’s Mission Is Amazing
No one else on this planet is like you. Establishing clarity and agreement on who we are, why we do what we do, and what that means for anyone called to the gospel mission is a natural and beautiful step toward doing something that truly matters—and doing it well.
Membership is not about rules. It’s about commitment, clarity, and unity in the greatest mission on earth.
Let’s step off the sidelines and fully engage in the work of Christ’s body.

Intimacy with God is the foundation of all that we do and all that we are here at Agape. It is our desire that every member of our faith family would have an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus reminds us in John chapter fifteen that He is the vine and we are the branches, if we abide in him, we will bear fruit. He invites us into a relationship that is life giving, life sustaining, life altering. At Agape we encourage a solid understanding of biblical truth as well as engagement in time tested spiritual practices that foster a life of intimacy abiding in Christ. These practices include our regular worship gatherings, community groups, retreats, and more.
Intimacy
Our God is the God of community. He has always existed in perfect community as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It’s no wonder then that God created us with a deep need and longing for community. It is in the context of community that our abiding faith is lived out. It is here that the Gospel begins to be fleshed out for the world to observe. It is within the faith family that we are conformed and transformed into Christ-likeness. We cannot be and become all that God has in mind for his bride in isolation, we need each other. Community is found organically as people within the church family engage in life together over meals, recreation, work, volunteering together and caring for one another in practical ways. Community is also fostered through community group gatherings, men’s and women’s groups and corporate worship.
Community
We are motivated by the Gospel to move out into the world around us as partners in the mission of Jesus to reconcile the world to himself. It is this grand mission that motivates us. Motivates us to meet the felt needs of our community - loving people with “no strings attached” and looking for opportunities to speak to the greatest need that each one of us has: to be reconciled to God through the saving work of Jesus Christ. We support both local and international mission work through prayer, finances, going and sending. We look for opportunities each day to reach out in love to those around them and look for practical ways to live on mission with Jesus. The mission of God is not a call to a few “special forces” within the body of Christ but an invitation for each and every person who follows him to be ministers of reconciliation in their day to day lives, showing and sharing his love in practical ways. We truly believe that we have been given the best news in the history of humanity and want to share it with everyone around us – from our neighbors to the Nations!

The History of Agape
The Church at Agape Outpost was founded by Dwane Jackson, a man who knew God’s grace and forgiveness in a powerful way. He went from serving a Leavenworth prison sentence to acting on God’s vision for an outpost of His love. From 1980-1983 meetings were held in various locations around Breckenridge. Then in the summer of 1983, Dwane and his wife Sonja and many others lovingly gave of themselves to build The Church at Agape Outpost.
By God’s grace and the willing obedience of many people, Agape’s brick and mortar building was built debt-free with the help of more than a thousand volunteers. A 7,000 sq. ft addition was completed, again debt-free, in October of 2002. Though our buildings don’t carry a balance, we are forever indebted to the many loving, caring laborers who have donated their time, skills and resources to further the mission and vision of Agape Outpost.
